Trust you’ve had a great summer despite the indifferent weather, enjoyed the Olympics and now getting set for Autumn. At least we seem to be having something of an Indian summer to help!
Guys as we shared on Sunday you can make a real difference to someone by simply encouraging them in their walk and journey through life especially to keep close to Christ so that we all cross the finishing line together! John Donne famously penned “no man is an island”. There is tremendous camaraderie is sport, in hobbies, even in the work place but as Christian guys we so often end up isolated, on our own island. Is it not time we determined to make a difference to someone and build ourselves up at the same time? Who will we call on when we need a helping hand if we haven’t been there for others along the way? So come along and join other guys in the race of life and help us develop and grow!
Firstly then a big big thank you to those who drove minibuses, transported kids, packed/unpacked lorries, set up or took down a camp site, helped with the holiday club BBQ. Your Father in heaven will not forget and your reward shall be great. Thank you for serving our Master in this way.
Secondly please find below some events to help us help each other:
- We will hold a prayer time before the 1st service 8.45a.m. on Sunday 16th Sept. Open to all. The aim is to pray for personal needs like jobs, family etc etc
- On Mon 24th Sept FUSED is joining CVM (Christian Vision for Men) Codelife night at Copthorne Hotel, 7.30pm, small contribution towards coffee etc. This is a great opportunity to continue to build relationships
and introduce your mates to Christian brothers. The journey to faith for most guys starts by talking shoulder to shoulder with a few blokes about the real issues of life.
Thanks again, keep on keeping on
God bless
